Summer is Here!

School is finally out for the summer! This year flew by for me. I was only there 3 days a week and then I was out for 3 months after Gavin joined our family.

After 6 years of teaching third grade, I had the opportunity to teach 2nd grade this year and I really enjoyed it. It was a bit to get used to at first since they were younger than my third graders, but I made it. It was the change I needed this year. These last few days at work have been busy as I'm moving classrooms (again!). I'm moving back to my old room for next school year. This is my 5th move in 7 years! It has helped me to keep from holding onto too much stuff though as I'm forced to clean out with each move. Now, to just organize the room on Monday and Tuesday. Then I'm off for 9 weeks!

Our plans for the summer are to hopefully move. We are still waiting on to hear back from the bank about the appraisal that took place earlier this week. Then we'll begin packing up the house. Our other big adventure is...

We're going to DISNEY WORLD! We leave here in just a few days and head to my brother's. We'll visit with him, my sister in law, nephew, and niece and take a few trips to the Magic Kingdom. We'll spend 1 day at Downtown Disney where I plan to do all of our shopping so that when we get to the Magic Kingdom, we can just focus on the rides and making memories! Then, we're going to spend 2 days at the Magic Kindom. The first day will be just the 4 of us and then the other day with my mom and my brother's family. I haven't been since I was 11 and Pat has never been. I'm hoping we'll enjoy ourselves. I'm not one of these hardcore Disney planners like I've read about online. I just want to go and enjoy the experience and make great family memories. I think our plan of 2 days at one park will give us plenty of time to enjoy ourselves and not get overwhelmed.

We bought a new camera just for this trip (we had been needing one, but never got around to purchasing it until now) and I hope to post many fun pictures of our adventure.

Now, off to clean up this house since someone is coming to look at it tomorrow. Praying that we'll be able to sell it quickly!
